They were kind, patient and understanding.So grateful our beautiful fur baby got to lie in his favorite spot surrounded by his favorite people when he took his last breath. We also feel doing it at home helped our other fur baby to have some closure.

This was one of our hardest days having to put Rigby our dog down. Black Creek Mobile Veterinary was an amazing at home service. Rigby was able to be in his home surrounded by us and his kitty's! I was able to lay with him and love him right to the end. DR. Erica was truly amazing!

Dr. Erica & her staff are amazing, kind, loving people. Our boy was hurting & Dr. Erica was so compassionate with me on the phone & in person with my husband. She held our boy while he went to sleep. Dr. Erica i don’t think I will ever have the right words, she sure is a remarkable human being. Her compassion and empathy during one of the hardest days for us with our sweet Tucker, she helped put our mind at ease that it was the right time to let our 8.5 year old labradoodle go. Tucker was diagnosed August 3 with Hemangiosarcoma, We decided not to go through surgery given how aggressive this cancer was and it had already showed signs of spread already. December 26th Tuckers quality of life took a complete change affecting his quality of life and we knew it was time, to avoid him suffering any longer I called multiple vets even the Waterloo/London emergency clinics but being a holiday...Dr Erica was the only one to call us back and was at our house right away after that call. Dr Erica you’re truly compassionate about your job, you truly put our mind at ease knowing this was the right thing to do. While this Christmas will be a hard one to remember it was also a bittersweet one we got an additional 5 months with our sweet boy. The fact that you reached out to us a day after means so much. Thank you!

Merlin ?/2007 - Dec 16/2022Over a month later I can finally sit at the computer and put my feelings to words. Merlin was a rescue, a confirmed frisbee nut and a true gentleman. He had a great life with all the exercise he needed...because Aussie's need lots of exercise to be good calm dogs. I am so glad that we could give that life to a fella that had been abandoned at a dog park so many years ago.Fast forward....at 15 years of age Merlin was nearly blind, deaf and full of arthritis. He was no longer living the good life. Every day was full of pain and confusion and fear of what he could no longer see or hear. With the guidance and compassion I was given by Laura and Dr. Erica, I was able to move forward with the decision that I knew was right but was SO painful to make. In Merlin's final moments there was no anxiety or fear. Just his mom loving on him as he passed into a peaceful sleep and then onto the rainbow bridge. Thank you so much Dr. Erica for providing such a necessary service and doing it with such grace in such a difficult time. I would recommend you and Laura to anyone who is searching for a GOOD goodbye for their beloved furry family members.

Laura was extremely helpful and informative and helped me to set up a virtual consultation with Dr. Erica to discuss the quality of life of my cat. Through the virtual consultation Dr. Erica was patient and empathetic to the range of emotions I was experiencing, and was able to provide thoughtful advice about the quality of life my cat was experiencing. Through discussing different aspects of quality of life, how to read your cat for pain or discomfort, the reality of a terminal illness, and setting boundaries for what I was willing to allow my cat to experience, I was able to make an informed decision in the best interest of my precious kitty.Both Laura and Dr. Erica were easy to contact when I had questions or concerns, and provided many resources on how to cope with grief and decision making.When the day arrived Dr. Erica was patient and gentle, giving me the time and reassurance I needed before moving through each step. She also made an ink of my cats nose and paw which I treasure.Although this was a horribly painful day for us Dr. Erica made it much less stressful than trying to travel to a vet, or to risk waiting too long and needing to make an emergency visit.After that day Laura and Dr. Erica continue to be available to provide support resources and words of kindness and reassurance.The level of service and comfort that Black Creek Mobile provides is well worth it when making a painful decision to euthanize a beloved pet.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Erica and Laura, and our experience with Black Creek. Losing a furry family member is so difficult and being able to be at home to say goodbye was a little easier, both for us, but more importantly for our sweet boy. We felt supported in our decision, and Dr. Erica's care and compassion was heartwarming. We knew our boy was in good hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs end of life care for their loved ones.

I called Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services to help me put my Aussie to rest after having her for over 17 years it was her time to go.Dr.Erica called me when she was on her way and explained everything and explained it again when she arrived.She was very patient,kind and understanding.She kept talking to us and Aussie all through the procedure which was very helpful and comforting.I would definitely recommend them when it comes time to put your pet to rest.

My wife and I knew that someday in the future we'd have to finally make the decision to end our dog's life when her quality of living diminished. In December of 2021 our vet told us that our beloved KC wouldn't make it another nine months. Well, we attended to her medical needs on a weekly basis ensuring her a great quality of life until June of 2023. We had given her eighteen months, but when she began to struggle, we knew the time had unfortunately arrived. In December of '21 a friend of my wife's gave us the name of Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services who would come into the home to provide their service. On Sunday June 25th I looked for that name and sent them an email. Monday morning we got in touch and they had an opening for 1 PM. My wife and I did not want to see KC suffer, we wanted her to move on in the comfort her own home with the people who loved her. Dr. Erica came at the designated time and went through the process with us. Dr. Erica is one of the most understanding and compassionate people I have ever met. We proceeded with what we had to do, and KC left this mortal coil with no pain, only peace, and with genuine love. This was one of the most painful decisions we ever had to make, trust us, but we knew it was the right choice, and KC left this life with dignity and love. Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services were also the right decision, and we highly recommend them for their professionalism, devotion and sincerity. I hope we never have to do this again, but if we do, I know the people we are going to call.

2 weeks ago I lost my best friend Ruby. We were inseparable for 14 years. Ruby fought the the good fight for a very long time but her little body was tired and she was ready for her journey to rainbow bridge. What a privilege it was for me to be able to give her that gift with the assistance of Black Creek mobile veterinary services and the wonderful Dr. Erica. The level of compassion and respect provided to both me and Ruby was phenomenal. Everything happened in a natural progression. I never felt rushed to say goodbye to my beloved Ruby. The aftercare was out of this world… Dr. Erica swaddled Ruby in a warm blanket with a pillow and had the back of her van setup with beautiful quilts and pillow, even flowers! They thought of everything! Dr . Erica said some beautiful words to Ruby before she left… it was so peaceful and calming …. What a beautiful experience. I would recommend this service to anyone who wants their fur baby to pass at home in the comfort of their home, in familiar surroundings and scents, with their family around them. I’m heartbroken about losing my girl but at peace knowing she had the best send off possible. Thanks so much to Dr. Erica and Laura at the office. You guys are a godsend to fur parents!
